Details for Legerete Instructor Training

TICKETS

Once you have booked your tickets, you will receive an email confirmation with details of the clinic, also detailed below. No hard copy tickets are sent out, a list of spectators will be held at the venue and your name and the number of tickets you have purchased will be detailed at the desk inside the arena where you check-in.

CLINIC LOCATION

The clinic is  held at Grange Farm (Naturally Light Equitation),  Preston Capes, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 3TQ.

Please park in the yard as neatly as possible, there is also space on the verge outside. Please ensure the gates are closed as you come in and out. There are toilets on site and a common room to warm up in! This is a working livery yard, so please be respectful of resident people and horses.

CLINIC STRUCTURE

It is advisable to arrive anytime from 8.00 am. You will need to come to the entrance of the indoor school to get your wristband for the day. Lessons usually begin between 8.30 and 9.00. so please find yourself a seat before then.

There will be a timetable for each day  displayed in the entrance to the indoor school. Lessons usually end by 5pm. On day 1 there is a theory session after lessons, on day 2 either a student teacher exam and/or another lecture. There is no lecture on day 3, and we aim to finish earlier.

REFRESHMENTS

Each day there is a morning and afternoon tea break and a lunch break.  There is a tea and coffee stand with snacks, all proceeds go to charity. This is a cash stand so please bring coins with you! Due to Covid protocol and environmental impacts, please bring your own mug to use.

We are in the process of trying to organise catering on site, but at the moment you will need to bring your own lunch. Details to follow!

Really warm clothes/blankets as the clinic is held in an indoor school and there are no heaters. Chairs are provided.

A notepad. The days are very informative and educational, you may wish to capture your thoughts.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Photography and filming is prohibited at the clinic. Only people nominated by the riders may film or photograph.

Phones need to be turned to mute in the indoor school.

We regret that no dogs are allowed on site.

Please do not talk through the lessons, as it  makes it very hard for other spectators to listen and learn.  Please  be respectful regarding the horses and riders and how you discuss their lessons, they have feelings too!

Tickets are on-refundable but under some circumstances can be transferred to future dates. Please contact us for more details.

ACCOMMODATION.

There are plenty of B N B's, Air Bn B's and hotels near by.  It is hard to keep an up to date list, so we suggest you search the local area using Booking.com etc.

The closest villages are;

Adstone; Preston Capes; Woodford Halse; Canons Ashby; Maidford, Farthingstone; Eydon; Charwelton.

Larger local towns are:

Towcester, Daventry and Banbury. Banbury also has a train station.
